Homes For Our Troops (HFOT), is an life-altering nonprofit who’s mission is to build and donate specially adapted custom homes for severely injured post-9/11 Veterans, enabling them to rebuild their lives. The organization has completed over 400 homes across 45 states, and currently has more than 60 projects underway nationwide.
The Veterans HFOT serves have sustained injuries including multiple amputations, partial or full paralysis, blindness, severe burns and/or severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). These homes restore some of the freedom and independence our Veterans sacrificed while defending our country, and enable them to focus on their family, recovery, and rebuilding their lives in a safe and fully accessible home. HFOT is 100% publicly funded, receiving no state or federal funding, and since its inception in 2004, nearly 90 cents out of every dollar spent has gone directly to HFOT’s program services for Veterans.
